John made thise piece in a modern link fashion and kept his Southwwestern roots with the classic saw and file work design around each stone. Above to the right is a modernized version of the classic squash blossom necklace. This particular squash blossom necklace was made in the 2000s and features natural blue Manassa Turquoise from Colorado. The squash blossom necklace was and is a staple of traditional Navajo ceremonial attire.
