John Hartman of Durango Silver Company has collected Vintage Turquoise Jewelry for over forty years. We try to have as much old Authentic Native American Indian Jewelry as possible on hand at all times.
John Hartman, founder of Durango Silver Company and lifelong collector of American Indian Antiquities, has collected Vintage Turquoise Jewelry for over 40 years. Many years ago when there were still old Indian Trading Posts on the Navajo Reservation, John would go out to the reservation for days at a time going from Hogan to Hogan buying and Trading for old Indian items and Antique Turquoise Jewelry.
In the 1970’s, John bought the antiques, estates and Vintage Jewelry from the early Indian Traders. He bought major collections from the Chilchimbito, Tsegi, Wide Ruins, Ojato, Fort Defiance Trading Posts and others. At one point, John had one of the finest Vintage Turquoise Jewelry collections in the Southwestern United States.
Today, the Navajo Reservation has modernized, old west antiques and Vintage Indian Jewelry is a thing of the past. Most of the Antique Indian items and Jewelry now come from individuals that had collected it from the past and we rely on them to locate our antique pieces.
We continuously hunt for good Vintage Turquoise Jewelry and Old Pawn Indian Jewelry. We are in a good location of the Southwest to find it and we put it online as do. We are particular in what we buy so we never know what we will come up with next.
