Turquoise set in Gold can be spectacular and Gold Turquoise Necklaces with highgrade Turquoise is one of the specialties at Durango Silver Company. John and Estell Hartman began collecting Turquoise in the 60's and by the early 70's they were working with various Turquoise miners in Arizona and Nevada learning all of the aspects of Turquoise, how to mine it, how to cut it and above all how to recognize high grade Turquoise and bring it to life by carefully cutting it into cabochons as well as other shaped gemstones. As time went on John and Estell continued obtaining America's finest Turquoise and to date have amassed quite a respectable collection. Today, our entire family is involved in the Turquoise business and we all work hard to produce fine quality Turquoise Jewelry - high quality Turquoise set in a Gold Necklace is a spectacular site for all.
The hand cut Bisbee Turquoise drop gemstone was created by John Hartman, it is a beautifully special piece of Turquoise that is a one-of-a-kind and there is no other. John had his daughter Crystal create the setting by carving a wax master around the gemstone, doing the same to a Mediterranean Coral gemstone for the bale. Crystal created a great piece of Jewelry that is truly a work of art.
Gold Turquoise Necklaces from Durango Silver Company are exceptional works of Art from the American Southwest, they are unusual treasures which will become heirlooms in the future.
