This mine has been closed since the late 1970's and the only Turquoise that has been coming out of the mine since has been from thieves or from individuals that have went to the annual lavender pit tour held once a year for the Bisbee Rock and Mineral Club.

Bisbee Turquoise is very rare yet it can still be found by individual Jewelers in the southwesternregions of the U.S. who have had the fortune of obtaining old stashes of the gemstone.
