This beautiful green Royston Turquoise Cabochon is a great colored natural Turquoise gemstone from the Royston Turquoise Mine located near Tonopah, Nevada. This stone has great green Turquoise color with beautiful golden to golden brown Riolite Matrix. If you use you imagination you will see a bird perched on a tree stump. This stone was hand cut by Bill King the owner of the famous King’s Manassa Turquoise Mine in Colorado. It weighs 40.5 carats and measures 26mm x 27mm, it is priced at $4.50 per carat. This beautiful Royston Turquoise stone came from the Royston mining district. "Royston Turquoise," originally consisted of four old Turquoise claims: Bunker Hill, Easter Blue, Oscar Wehrend, and Royal Blue. Lynn Otteson moved to Tonopah to mine Royston Turquoise in 1958 and the family have been Turquoise Minors since. Royston Turquoise is known worldwide for having a wide range of colors from a beautiful soft blue to emerald greens.
