This is an Authentic Bisbee Turquoise Cabochon with chocolate brown matrix and quartz crystals hand cut by John Hartman of Durango Silver Company. This is a very nice example of an Extra Large Bisbee Blue Cabochon with the rare quartz crystals in the stone. It is rare to find Turquoise that has formed inside of quartz crystals. The cabochon was cut from a large specimen of natural Bisbee Turquoise that had formed in quartz crystals. This American Turquoise gemstone posses the "Bisbee Blue" color most collectors are looking for. The stone also features beautiful chocolate brown matrix in thin lines, not quite spider web. The stone is 100% natural and has been lightly backed as is traditional with American stone cutters. This stone weighs 112 carats. This is a Bisbee Blue Turquoise Cabochon from the famed Bisbee Mine located just south of Bisbee, Arizona. It was hand cut by Dillon Hartman from forty year old Bisbee Turquoise Collection of the Durango Silver Company. Bisbee Turquoise has not been mined since 1978 and all the dumps have been completely covered in 12 feet of rock and dirt. There will be no more Bisbee Turquoise come out of the mine, even by so call "dumpers". This is a rare type of American Turquoise getting rarer and rarer!
