This Antique Navajo Stamped Bracelet was made around 1950, it has old Navajo repose and stampwork. The frame is of a light to medium weight Silver that was hand cut and formed by a Navajo Silversmith, he filed it to get the final length and width desired to make this bracelet. He hand stamped a design onto the Silver that has three repose (domed) elongated diamond shapes with repose fluted domes and then outline with a line stamp and then border stamping.

John Hartman has pulled this Old Navajo Bracelet from his collection and will now let it go. John bought this pawn jewelry collection from Francis Griswold in 1982, he purchased the entire old pawn jewelry collection from the vault of Ft. Defiance. Francis had been in prison since approximately 1958, when he got out, he came to John's Trading Post in Durango, Co, Francis sold the largest known Indian pawn collection of that period to John - literally, thousands of pieces.

This old pawn Bracelet comes with a letter of authenticity signed by John Hartman of Durango Silver Co. We invite you to read more about the Fort Defiance collection and Francis Griswold by viewing our online presentation - The Ft Defiance Pawn Collection
