Gold Women's Ring Band with Colorado Gold Nuggets and a natural Bisbee Turquoise Gemstone
Wow! That is a mouth full for a description - "Gold Women's Ring Band with Colorado Gold Nuggets and a natural Smoky Bisbee Turquoise Gemstone," however, is should be longer so I will continue. This truly is an unusual piece of art that Nattarka Hartman has created here, she began with a fantastic Smoky Bisbee Turquoise Gemstone that I (John Hartman) cut and then sculptured a setting that embellishes it to a state of perfection. This is a Gold Women's Ring Band in 14ky gold, Colorado Gold Nuggets with an outstanding blue Bisbee Turquoise sitting on top of the mountain of Gold. Gold Nuggets are wedged between canyon walls flowing downwards from the blue sky stone. In all seriousness, this is a festinating Women's Gold Ring.
Smoky Bisbee Turquoise in 14ky Gold
Smoky Bisbee Turquoise is highly sought after by many Turquoise connoisseur's for it's unusual character that is not found in any other Turquoise on earth. This is a beautiful example of Smoky Bisbee Turquoise with chocolate brown matrix in a rich sea of gorgeous blue Turquoise. The unusual Gold setting is very fitting with a natural appearance that goes well with this rare and beautiful type of natural Turquoise from Bisbee, Arizona. This Smoky Bisbee Turquoise Gold Ring is a historical piece of American heritage and will become an important heirloom in the future.
Bisbee Turquoise formed in many unique geological formations located in what is now known as Bisbee, Arizona - of course, this was millions of years ago. This area is a tremendously diverse geological wonder of the world and so very many gemstones and minerals other then Turquoise formed there as well. Due to the diverse structure of the earth, Bisbee Turquoise has many different characteristics and Smoky Matrix is one of them. Turquoise is a sedimentary gemstone which means moisture from the crust of the earth flows downward through specific minerals, copper, iron and aluminium sulphites and then deposits into voids lower in the earth. I believe the smoky matrix is from the sediment forming in soft clay rapidly. The watery solutions made the clay dissolve and flow across the Turquoise formations.
This is a great Smoky Bisbee Turquoise Gold Ring that was artisan made in the USA!
The stone measures : 5/8 inch long X 3/8 inch wide. The ring weighs 12 grams. The ring is a size 6 1/4.
