This Silver Bead Necklace was Navajo handmade in the 1960’s and was last pawned or sold to the Fort Defiance Trading Post. It has round Silver Beads, fluted Silver Beads and Silver Melon Beads. All of these Navajo handmade sterling silver beads were “bench made”, they are not mass produced. It is interesting that it was made with two clasps, maybe it was used as a bead necklace as well as a extension for another necklace? What we love about the way that this silver bead necklace was made is that is can be worn as a bead bracelet or a bead necklace, it can also be worn as a silver bead choker or a long silver bead necklace. When you wear it you cannot really see this so it may be a very utilitarian piece for you too! This silver bead necklace is 100% AUTHENTIC and was proudly American handmade.
The necklace total length is 23 1/2 inches long and weighs 32 grams.
The length of the bracelet is 7 3/4 inches long and the choker is 16 inches long.
