Native American Earrings

American Indian Jewelry and Native American Earrings are an American heritage that have been handed down from the American Indians of the United States since the 1870's. The Native American Indians in the Southwestern USA have made an industry out of Native American Indian Turquoise Jewelry and it is known around the globe for its bold color's and uniqueness. Native American Jewelry is made with American Turquoise from Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona and it is set in Silver to create some of the most beautiful Jewelry on earth. There are many styles of Native American Earrings which are made by the Navajo Indians, Zuni Indians and the Hopi Indians of the American Southwest.

Turquoise has been used as early as 300 B.C. in ceremonies and by medicine men for healing. The Native American Indians worshipped Turquoise and believed is was put on this world from the great fathers above. As Turquoise became more plentiful the Native American Indians began using it in Turquoise Beads and soon, other items to adorn themselves. Turquoise has been an important gemstone in the history of the Southwestern regions of America for over 2000 years! Native American Earrings with quality Turquoise is our specialty at Durango Silver Company, this presentation is meant to help educate and give you some good knowledge directly related to Native American Earrings.
