Manassa Turquoise and Coral Pendant by Richard Begay
One of famed Navajo Jewelry artisan Richard Begay's last pieces, this fun and whimsical Sterling Silver amulet is a real masterpiece. Richard designed the summer scene in the Manassa Turquoise and Coral Pendant using the classic Hopi Overlay technique. The summer scene features two hand stamped and cut out Sunflowers that have been inlaid with natural red coral from italy and green Manassa Turquoise from Colorado. On top of that is a horse and the "Mittens" from Monument Valley. These are features of the traditional Navajo way of life and from the Navajo lands of the Southwest. This scene is overlaid on top of a sandstone textured silver background. The scene is outlined with shiny silver and the bottom and top of the Manassa Turquoise and Coral Pendant by Richard Begay is accented by a classic fringe design. This beautiful handmade silver amulet features a nice big bale that would accommodate a good sized bead necklace or large silver chain. An authentic piece of handmade Native American art, this Italian Coral, green American Turquoise and Silver Pendant by the late Richard Begay will surely increase in value since his recent passing and would make a valuable start or addition to any Silver Jewelry or Native American Jewelry collection. Handmade in New Mexico, USA, this handmade Sterling Silver Amulet features the Navajo Jewelry hallmark "RB" and stamped Sterling.
