Durango Silver Company has been making and dealing in Turquoise as well as Gemstone Earrings for nearly 40 years. We make Turquoise Earrings in Sterling Silver as well as 14 carat gold in-house and we also trade in Turquoise Earrings, Gemstone Earrings and Sterling Silver Earrings of Southwest design made by Navajo, Zuni and Contemporary Artists from the Southwest.
Navajo Indian Earrings – Navajo Native American Indian Turquoise Earrings are generally a Turquoise or Gemstone bezel set with filigree or stampings on the silver surrounding the stone.
Zuni Indian Earrings – Zuni Indian handmade Earrings are all about the stone! The Zuni Native American Indians have always focused on their stonework, they do Turquoise Inlaid Earrings which is where they inlay Turquoise and/or other gemstones into a channel to make a mosaic type design. They also do Needlepoint, which is tiny needle shaped stones and they do Pettipoint, which is tiny round, oval or square stones set in multiples to make a unique design.
