American Turquoise Cabochons

Although Turquoise was not discovered first in American, it was discovered over 2000 years ago by the Native American Indians of that period – around 300AD. Turquoise has been a major part of the history in the American Southwest, in fact, there was a major Turquoise Trade center at Pueblo Bonito at Chaco Canyon around 900AD. Turquoise has been used in spiritual, ceremonials and for self adornment since those days and now we find that it has been an important factor in many areas of the world for thousands of years as well. Durango Silver Company specializes in authentic, natural American Turquoise Cabochons which is one of our American Heritages – we invite you to follow the link above to view this most interesting presentation.

Military Green Royston Turquoise Jewelry

You may or may not know that this color of natural Turquoise is very hard to come by.  This type of Emerald Green or Forest Green Turquoise has always been hard to find, but is becoming even harder to find these days as almost all the Turquoise mines world wide have been shut down for one reason or another.  Having said that, the Military Green Turquoise is one of the most famous looks from the Royston Turquoise mine in Nevada, USA.

Military Green Royston Turquoise Jewelry

Just like the Turquoise its self, Military Green Royston Turquoise Jewelry is very hard to come by due to the lack of Turquoise cabochons available to jewelers as well as the fact that most jewelers prefer to use blue Turquoise over any other color of Turquoise. Here at Durango Silver Company that is not the case.  We love to make jewelry with natural green Turquoise from Lime Green Turquoise Jewelry to Military Green Royston Turquoise Jewelry.  So when you are in need of some rare Military Green Royston Turquoise Jewelry or any other color of Turquoise Jewelry keep us in mind.
