Spiderweb Turquoise

Spiderweb Turquoise – The most valuable Turquoise on earth!

There is no doubt that Spiderweb Turquoise is the most valuable Turquoise on earth, it is a rarity in the formation of Turquoise and acknowledged by the authorities of Turquoise to hold the highest value of all Turquoise on earth.

There are many variations of Spiderweb Turquoise as small amounts of this phenomenon is found in many different Turquoise Mines worldwide.  As Turquoise runs from green to blue, so does Spiderweb Turquoise. The matrix or host rock that Turquoise forms in also varies from mine to mine and can run from white, tan, brown to black. There are many variations spderwebbing from iron which creates a red coloring as well as black and even a Silver colored web. Iron pyrite spiderwebbing which is found in Morenci and Kingman Turquoise can be spectacular in Turquoise, it is highly sought after.

The configuration of the spiderwebbing plays a significant roll in the value of the stone as well. The formation runs from a loose web with thin veins running sporadically through a field of blue or green all the way to a very tight webbing that is so condensed that is hard to see the Turquoise color through the web. The perfect Spiderweb Turquoise is somewhat in the eyes of the beholder, however, there are known types of Spiderweb Turquoise such as Lander Blue, Bisbee and Lone Mountain Turquoise that consistently commands a very high value.

Durango Silver Company, and its owners have been collectors of quality Spiderweb Turquoise for over 40 years and have created a Spiderweb Turquoise presentation page where we have many photos with descriptive text – we invite you to view our presentation on Spiderweb Turquoise here!

Durango Silver Company is presently working on the finest Spiderweb Turquoise that has ever been found on earth and will debut this unbelievably beautiful Turquoise in the very near future.
