Snowing In Durango

The Southwest is under a blanket of snow! It is absolutely beautiful and everyone is having a ton of fun! Southwestern Coloradois a total white-out, we have just got over 22" of powder at 7,000 feet and Wolf Creek Ski area is at 10,000 feet with over 4' of new powder. Purgatory at Durango Mountain has gotten over 30" of new powder and this is a total winter wonderland here in Durango!

Here I am blowing snow in our parking lot at Durango Silver Company in my Kubota. We got about 18" since last night, wow it is a lot of snow to move. It is good times though, everyone is in high spirits and happy to know that our mountains are jammed with snow/water for the spring and summer runoff which is important to us. We know now it will be very green this year in Colorado so start planning your trips.

For those of you that like to snow ski, snowboard of any other winter sports - come on out to Durango and I guarantee you that you will have the time of your life! POWDER - POWDER-POWDER!
