A most unusual Antique Navajo Turquoise Bead Inlay Bracelet from the 1940’s. This is a very unusual Navajo Silver Channel Inlay Bracelet and truly one of a kind! It was made to accommodate Santa Domingo Beads, probably from an old Necklace that broke. The Turquoise Beads appear to be old Morenci Turquoise and are accented with Tortoise Shell and large heishi beads – they must be stung on silver wire inside the bracelet frame as they turn! The bottom sides are inlaid with some type of white material , maybe Ivory? You can actually see the solder lines in this bracelet which show you how it was made, this is awesome to the true collector. This is a unique old Navajo Bracelet signed with a Pine Tree. This is from the Ft. Defiance Collection (link to http://www.durangosilver.com/fortdefiance.htm).
The inner bracelet circumference measures 5 1/4 inches , plus an opening of 1 1/2 inches. The bracelet weighs 58 grams. The total width of the sterling silver bracelet including the silver is 1/2 inch.
